Add an AI chatbot to your website
Build a chatbot for your website in three steps: create an agent, train it on your own pages and documents, and paste one script tag. It answers visitors from your content — with citations — instead of generic chatbot small talk.

From sign-up to live widget in three steps
1. Create your agent
Sign up free and create an agent in the dashboard. Give it a name, a persona and a tone of voice — friendly guide, formal support rep, whatever fits your brand. No code so far, and none coming.
2. Train it on your website
Hand over your sitemap.xml and the agent crawls and indexes your pages. Add individual URLs, upload documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, CSV, JSON, XML), or paste text for anything that isn't published yet.
3. Paste one script tag
Copy the embed snippet from your agent's Deploy tab and paste it into your site's HTML, just before the closing tag. The chat widget appears on your pages and starts answering from your content.
A widget that behaves like it belongs to you
Runs only where you allow it
A domain allowlist controls which websites can load your widget. Add your domains, and the embed simply won't run anywhere else.
Answers from your content
The widget uses the same grounded engine as the dashboard: answers come from your sources with citations, and “My Data Only” mode declines questions your content doesn't cover.
Yours, not ours
Set the agent's name, persona and greeting so the widget feels like part of your site. On Pro, custom branding removes the “Powered by” line entirely.
No website changes needed? You have options
Every agent also gets a public share link — a hosted chat page you can link from anywhere — and developers can skip the UI entirely and talk to the agent through the REST API with scoped keys, or through its own MCP server endpoint.

Website chatbot — common questions
How do I add a chatbot to my website?
Three steps: create an agent in the AgentoGPT dashboard, train it on your content (sitemap crawl, page URLs, uploaded files or pasted text), then copy the embed snippet from the agent's Deploy tab and paste the single script tag into your site's HTML. The widget goes live immediately — no build step, no plugin, no developer required.
Do I need to know how to code to build a chatbot for my website?
No. Creating and training the agent is entirely point-and-click, and going live is one copy-and-paste of a script tag into your page template — the same place you'd paste an analytics snippet. If you can edit your site's HTML (or your site builder's custom-code box), you can do this.
Will the chatbot answer from my content, or make things up?
It answers from the content you train it on, and shows a citation for each grounded answer. Turn on “My Data Only” and it will only use your sources — when a visitor asks something they don't cover, it politely says it doesn't have that information yet instead of improvising.
Can I control which websites my widget runs on?
Yes. Each agent's widget has a domain allowlist: it loads only on the domains you approve, so nobody can lift your embed code and run your agent (or use up your messages) on another site. The widget also has built-in rate limiting.
How much does a website chatbot cost?
Building and testing your agent is free — the Free plan covers 1 agent, 5 sources and 100 messages a month, and you can share the agent through a public link. The embed widget is included from Starter at $19/mo (10 agents, 5,000 messages), and Pro at $79/mo adds custom branding and 50,000 messages.
